RepDelivery provides basic parcel compensation for eligible shipments at no extra cost. Our standard free compensation is USD 6 per kg. Customers automatically receive this basic coverage when shipping with RepDelivery and only need to pay the normal shipping fee.
For customers shipping high-value goods, RepDelivery also offers optional Commercial Insurance / Declared Value Coverage. This protection is designed for customers who want compensation based on the declared cargo value instead of the standard weight-based compensation.
1. Basic Free Compensation
All eligible shipments include basic compensation at no additional insurance cost.
Basic compensation rate: USD 6 per kg
This basic coverage is included automatically when customers ship with RepDelivery. No extra insurance fee is required for this standard protection.
2. Optional Commercial Insurance Fee
Customers may choose to purchase Commercial Insurance before shipment dispatch.
The insurance fee is calculated as 10% of the declared cargo value.
For example:
- Declared cargo value: USD 1,000
- Insurance fee: USD 100
- Declared cargo value: USD 5,000
- Insurance fee: USD 500
- Declared cargo value: USD 10,000
- Insurance fee: USD 1,000
Commercial Insurance must be confirmed and paid before the shipment is dispatched. Once the shipment has been dispatched, Commercial Insurance cannot be added retroactively.
3. Compensation Under Commercial Insurance
If the customer has purchased Commercial Insurance and the shipment is confirmed lost or affected by a covered logistics accident that makes final delivery impossible, RepDelivery will compensate based on the confirmed declared cargo value.
In eligible covered cases, RepDelivery will provide:
- Compensation based on the declared cargo value
- Full refund of the shipping fee
For example, if the declared cargo value is USD 10,000 and the customer has paid the USD 1,000 Commercial Insurance fee before dispatch, then in an eligible confirmed loss case, RepDelivery may compensate up to USD 10,000 and refund the shipping fee in full.
4. Required Declaration and Proof
To purchase Commercial Insurance, customers must provide accurate cargo information before dispatch.
Customers may be required to provide:
- Declared cargo value
- Product description
- Quantity
- Photos or videos of the goods
- Purchase invoice, payment proof, order screenshot, or other value proof
- Destination country and recipient details
The declared value must be truthful and reasonable. RepDelivery reserves the right to review, reject, or adjust declared value coverage if the declared value cannot be reasonably verified.
5. Covered Situations
Commercial Insurance may apply when a shipment is confirmed by the logistics provider or route provider as:
- Lost during transportation
- Affected by a serious logistics accident
- Unable to complete final delivery due to a confirmed covered logistics issue
Compensation is subject to case verification, logistics provider confirmation, and the confirmed declared value coverage purchased before dispatch.
6. Situations Not Covered
Commercial Insurance does not cover losses, delays, penalties, returns, seizures, or delivery failure caused by:
- Prohibited items
- Restricted items sent without confirmation
- False declaration
- Hidden or incorrect product information
- Incorrect or incomplete delivery address
- Recipient refusal
- Customer failure to cooperate with customs or delivery requirements
- Customs seizure caused by customer-provided goods or information
- Destination country import restrictions
- Brand, trademark, intellectual property, or legal compliance issues
- Natural disasters, war, strikes, government actions, or other force majeure events
- Delivery delay without confirmed parcel loss
7. Shipping Fee Refund
If a Commercial Insurance claim is approved because the shipment is confirmed lost or final delivery cannot be completed due to a covered logistics accident, RepDelivery will refund the shipping fee in full.
The Commercial Insurance fee itself is generally non-refundable after dispatch, unless the shipment is cancelled before international shipping begins.
8. Claim Process
Customers must contact RepDelivery on WhatsApp as soon as they notice a serious shipment issue.
To submit a claim, customers may need to provide:
- Tracking number
- Shipment reference
- Declared cargo value proof
- Photos or videos of the goods before dispatch
- Payment proof
- Description of the issue
- Any carrier or delivery notice received
RepDelivery will review the case with the logistics provider or route provider. Approved compensation will be processed according to the verified claim result.
